Lincoln City has miles of beautiful, clean sandy beaches, the Salmon River to the north and the Siletz Bay and River to the south. The Bijou Theatre is a 1937 one-screen theater that features first-run movies, classic films on Saturdays, and live organ music every Monday. The D River Wayside is a renowned 7.5 mile beach that has perfect kite-flying conditions. You can find glass fishing floats while exploring the sandy beach.

The North Lincoln County Historical Museum features a replica 1920's camp-site and old roadside signs. At Devils Lake you can fish at Regatta Park, walk the trails through old-growth forest, and let the kids play on a sprawling, castle-like wooden play structure. At the Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge you can see river otters and bald eagles on a free two-hour kayak tour of the salt marsh estuary. Also, watch harbor seals at the Salishan Spit. Connie Hansen Garden is a volunteer operated 1.3 acre garden filled with hundreds of rhododendron varieties, magnolia trees and hummingbirds.

Shop at Northwest Winds Kites and Toys and find easy-to-fly kites, steerable stunt fliers, and expert 45-foot long octopus kites. Find precious gems at Rock Your World including opals from Idaho, volcanic glass from Mount St. Helens, and an enormous agate geode from Washington. Mossy Creek Pottery sells ceramics made by more than 40 Pacific Northwest potters.

Eat at the Blackfish Cafe and enjoy bacon-wrapped albacore tuna or smoked salmon and white Tillamook cheddar pasta. Captain Dan's Pirate Pastry Shop has made from scratch frosted sugar cookies shaped like salmon and octopuses. The Wildflower Grill offers seafood omelets stuffed with shrimp and crab, and ahi tuna po'boys. J's Fish and Chips serves handmade thin-cut chips and lightly battered and breaded halibut, cod and shrimp. The Bay House features organic dishes like Meyer lemon halibut with baby bok choy with orange sauce. Find your favorite wine in their collection of 2,100 wines.

Take cooking classes at the Culinary Center in Lincoln City. Learn how to make dishes with local seasonal ingredients like asparagus and strawberries. Watch Oregon chefs create their dishes at the quarterly cook-off's. Blow your own glass float or paperweight at the Jennifer Sears Glass Art Studio and see local artists' sculptures in the gallery.

The Lincoln City Community Center, on NE 22nd Street (behind Oceanlake Elks), has lifeguards at the heated indoor pool, a fitness center, and a state-of-the-art basketball court, walking track and rock climbing wall.
